“There are no cheaters unless one forbids to be cheated”

     Spearheaded by a victim’s drive to chase down call center scamming; many vowed to hunt them down for good. A lot of victims are Americans who just want to have an easy access of life. In a sad note, due to insistent need of survival, a homeless man drifts himself in limbo to take an opportunity; to take a shot of destiny; to take the “short-cut” through deliberately by passing of a supposed legal procedure. This for them to have a head start towards the finish line, and eventually, win the challenge of survival.

     Due to the undeniable surge of the Wall Street economic meltdown, global recession occurred that has not only infected the United States, but the world as well. Projection shows that within five (5) years time, unless the economic drought is resolved, a lot of real properties are going to be foreclosed. Many are going to be ripped off their homes not due to bad credit standing but financial scarcity which is naturally fortuitous in it its very sense. Save for the few and the many who still implore the interest of justice and fair play, this is where scammers come in to take advantage out of a person’s helpless expense.

     A wide array of clamour echoed underneath the victim’s feat of need --- the need to have a decent home to live to shelter his bewildered family. Most of them take the practical off road route to acquire a cheap foreclosed property than building a new one. However, despite of the guaranteed “affordability” of second hand homes, everyone cannot afford it. Otherwise stated, only a chosen handful can afford it. The need of real estate brokers surrounded by mountainous legal procedures is more than enough to kill the stamina of an average homeless American. For this reason, a device was made to cut the cost of expenses and that is by call center agency. With just a dial, all the anxiety will be gone. With a promise that every step will be served in a gold silver platter, a homeless king will surely shed off every penny left in his safe just to have a kingdom without mirroring possible infirmities hidden under it. With this predicament, the legal procedures concerning house financing are now reduced to a mere online extravaganza thus putting the essence of foreclosure as a legal matter per se in an obvious dilapidated state.

Prevention is better than cure. Thus, how will you determine whether or not a particular transaction is a scam? Here is my brief take of pointers for enlightenment, guidance and awareness. These are the eight (8) beatitudes.

1.  Do not be opportunistic. Do not trust immediately. Examine and analyze. Not all that glitters is gold – only opportunistic people fall prey to this elementary modus. Ignorance nor good faith is no excuse. Do not take the short cut. People who are commonly made victims to this are those who want the easy way out. Thus, better take the long thorny road of legitimacy than to divert into a butter coated path way of uncertainty.

2.  Know the parties – bare this in mind that in as far as foreclosure is concerned, generally there are two (2) parties.

(a)  Mortgagee – the party who acquires a contract of loan (usually with the bank) and makes his Torrens Title (Title of the property) as a security of the loan. Failure of the mortgagee to satisfy the obligation will give the mortgagor the right to foreclose the mortgage; and the

(b) Mortgagor – the party under whom the loan was made which in return offers money to the mortgagee in relation to the Deed of Mortgage executed between the parties.

[Real Estate Broker (optional middleman) –Is a duly licensed person contacted by a mortgagor at his option to look for interested buyers over a particular foreclosed property if the mortgagor decides to sell it.]

3.  As a rule, parties to a foreclosure (of loan or mortgage) are generally exclusive; it is binding with them as it is the law of the parties. It does not bind third persons – information of foreclosed properties lies exclusively in the hands of the mortgagor (common example is the bank). A property acquired by banks due to foreclosure is usually disposed of via sale by public auction. Unless the mortgagor (other than banks) chooses the option to have the aid of a broker, said information will be passed to him as his agent. However, for security reasons, an interested buyer must verify whether the broker is licensed to practice brokerage. If, despite proper identification, an interested buyer is still doubtful to the legitimacy of the transaction or the broker, refer the query to an appropriate professional brokerage board which holds the roll of professional brokers.

4. Not all online house financing are hoaxes - online business is legitimate if they (a particular company) have proper linkage to the above mentioned parties (mortgagee, mortgagor, broker or a lawyer who will draft the terms and conditions of the contract). They must be accredited, registered or licensed brokerage firm authorized and supervised by an appropriate government agency.

5. Internet IPs should stand still – Internet IPs are intended for identification. Online house financing usually post information on Craig’s List (craigslist.com) or Back page (backpage.com). Internet postings are alright. However, the thing is, housing financial scammers habitually reroute their internet IPs in order for them to be untraceable. At least they reroute IPs every after three (3) postings per state. It is a matter of security that one should know or at least keep track of the internet IPs. ONCE THEY MOVE unusually, it is a scam.

6. Scammers are great manipulators – they usually use aliases and not their real names. They usually have a website indicating their campaign with an American postal address. Most of these are tricks. In these cases, please get hold of the website information and verify the postal address whether it’s existing. The reason is that, scammers do the dirty work by habitually rerouting their internet IPs in several U.S. states to make it appear that they are doing business in America although, in truth and in fact, they are not from the United States but somewhere else.

7.  Not all postings are true – It is impossible to have a house for rent or rent to own at a cost of $ 450 with amenities like 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and baths. This kind of postings is common. However, postings such as these are only for pure marketing strategy to lure an interested person to call. Once you call, you are given a new set of information different from what is posted. Here is the common script: (Call Simulation)

CUSTOMER: I have read an advertisement that a house for rent or rent to own is available in California. Is it still available?
AGENT: “I’m sorry Mr. Customer; the house that you have read on our advertisement has long been sold. However, we have several properties available for you to choose from. From what state are you Mr. Customer? What is your zip code?
CUSTOMER: I am from Illinois (e.g. customer answers Illinois although the customer is interested on the posting of a house for rent/rent to own available in California)
AGENT: we have 45 properties in your area (Illinois) to choose from (45 is just an imaginary number. It is just a product of imagination without any basis at all) with the same price as what you have seen on the advertisement. (If the customer says that he is interested in California, the same style is applied)
CUSTOMER: Okay....I’m interested...

     If the customer is interested, he will be required to give e-mail address and credit card information. Once all of these are through, money will be slashed from the customer’s credit card in exchange of listings of foreclosed properties. Hence, all that a customer will have are the listings of foreclosed properties for a price of $ 49. There is no walk through nor legal assistance for the necessary execution of a Deed of Transfer or Deed of Absolute Sale between the customer and the mortgagor. Simply put, the customer is paying $ 49 for the listing.

NOTE: the $ 49 is just the tip of the iceberg. Once credit card information is released, it could be more than $ 49. Be vigilant.

Significance of a Deed of Sale/ Deed of Transfer:

     A Deed of Sale is a written legal instrument where the vendor (formerly the mortgagor) irrevocably conveys the property to the vendee (the customer) for a consideration. The said instrument has to be notarized by a lawyer and made it registered in an appropriate registry of property. Once the consideration is satisfied, ownership is transferred. A Deed of Transfer on the other hand is also a written instrument where the transferor (formerly the mortgagor) transfers the property to the transferee (the customer) after satisfaction of the terms and condition stipulated. The said instrument has to be notarized by a lawyer and made it registered in an appropriate registry of property. Thus, the lawyer plays a vital role in these issues. Failure to comply with this will make the ownership of a certain property subject to collateral or direct attacks. It would render the transaction void or voidable.

8. FRIENDLY ADVICE: Insist that payment should be made through Western Union; reason – people engaged in these kind of business usually require payment through credit and debit cards. In that way, they won’t be traced once they have successfully slashed something anomalous out of it. If the customer insists that payment should be made through Western Union, they will be forced to disclose their true location. In that way, they can be traced.

     There are no cheaters unless one forbids to be cheated. The world is indeed growing smaller each day as it is now engulfed under the dependence of the cyber world. Deception through lewd designs and machinations is the common haven for those who wish to devour the human heart by abusing trust and confidence. Intellect stands no chance amid the blinding speed of eloquent speech and scientific sales talk. This is music to those who easily fall under the spell of trusting too soon.

     Implore God’s guidance and wisdom because knowledge without wisdom is nothing. I hope this literature will awaken the minds and hearts of the many who thirst, for those who crave for answers of questions unanswered. Welcome to the light.

In the beginning, our parents had a mission; a sacred mission.  A mission for wisdom and knowledge for their beloved children.  We the children for whom that sacred mission is addressed, went through the years from nursery up to the day where we are joined which is today.  Working for that mission, initially our minds were empty but with the concerted efforts of our parents and the mentors whom we honor so very much, our minds were opened, for knowledge started to set in. 

And since knowledge embrace in knowing good and evil, we the children are tasked to screen good from evil in order for the good thing to perpetually nourish ourselves for better personal development.  In the process of screening, it requires the application of wisdom because no matter how knowledgeable we are, if wisdom is nil in our hearts and mind, the mission to which our parents were striving for will be put to nothing. 

Fear in the lord is wisdom. If knowledge is guided with wisdom; evil is nowhere to be found in the community.  Corruption which seems to be the life blood in the community today will be eradicated.  It is a challenge for us children as future generation who will soon take the place of those who are in governance to do what is good and to reject what is evil.

Today is the beginning of our academic pursuit for higher learning and accomplishment. What we have witnessed today is a job well done for all of us which is a preparatory step to the next level of the mission to which our parents and teachers are working for.  Our success which we owe from our parents and mentors is a living legacy which we deeply cherish in our hearts.  Congratulations!

Do you know them? They are the famous nocturnal who are less than vampires. No Goosebumps they’re safe--- they don’t suck blood nor feast on human carcass. They are just plain hardworking beings who play English for a living by letting their mornings their nights and their nights their mornings.

Welcome to the national job of our place. The most convenient and easiest remedy against the threat of unemployment. This is the sole antidote that can prevent an embarrassing transformation of a fresh bachelor into a useless presidential standby. At least, we have our own defense against global recession courtesy of the famous Wall Street manipulations.

They work at graveyard shifts from ten o’ clock in the evening up to seven o’clock in the morning, the next day. So, when these humanoid vampires come out of their famous computer infested graves to meet the early rays of morning sunshine, they would melt in maximum exhaustion down into the territories of isolated hibernation. In their beds they rest; in their coffins they die, amid every life that surrounds them they’re closed. Until and when darkness hails, they shall come to life once more---just like vampires who want more.

On to their nest they go, to call American costumers hoping to have a sale. “No sale, no work. Every day is fire day.” This is the word of thumb which sets in money as their divine motivation and purpose. This is what they do round the clock, from night till dusk till dawn. Randomly calling American homes to sell and have a sale, annoying every American spirit by disrupting a would be beautiful day.

Graveyard schedule is an undisputed universal policy to cope up with the American time zone. To put kindness in execution, two days of “rest day” is given once a month. However, two days is not enough for a human to adjust and sleep at a normal state after being nocturnal for twenty-nine days straight. With this predicament, even Clark Kent could not last a year.

“Our customers are all from the U.S. It is day time in America and night time in ours. That is why we have to do things upside down” --- said a veteran call center agent who has worked at a call center for a considerable length of time. She is one of my acquaintances. However, she gets skinnier every time she takes her Christmas vacation at our place. I was beginning to wonder why....

Behind the abrupt weight loss are tons of hospital check-ups and confinements. All of which are due to her nocturnal job. This makes sense. Becoming nocturnal would drastically change your sense of sleep. Rest plays a vital role in our lives. The accepted set-up is the “sleep at night” doctrine which is of course our universal rule. Graveyard shifts are excusable if not done every day. A more humanitarian schedule would be preferred if made every other two days or so but definitely not every day. You will be dead in no time, and the life lost is not worth to recompense the abusive use of bodily corruption.

Cancer and Tuberculosis are common call center agent killers. With smoking and coffee within the contagious corner, caffeine and nicotine in the mix, Tuberculosis would arise that would eventually lead up to Cancer (of the lungs). Moreover, precipitating factors would motivate cancer cells to develop due to long hours of unusual fluorescent light exposure while at work. This is the logic why we turn the lights off when sleeping. Closer perusal of the facts would suggest the importance of adequate sleep during night because this is just simply, the circle of our life.

Just take God for example, why would he create night and day without having it a purpose? He made it sure that we work during day time and sleep during night. This is the psychology of a Filipino nocturnal that is playing blind of this blatant antecedent fact attached with many call center agent deaths. They die for one simple reason. They die because they altered God’s purpose. They changed what is already set. They impaired what is not to be impaired. They just simply refused to understand a fact that is way too much elementary.

VICTORY BEHIND UNWANTED TEARS

“Heroes are not born at the end of every victorious battle. They are made upon their enlistment to join the war.”

Failure is a fact of life. This is the reason why we are called human beings for creatures like us are susceptible to failure. Defeat is an excruciating feeling of sadness whose effect will ultimately transpire into desperation, melancholy or worse, suicidal tendencies. However, man has to cope by applying mechanisms to transcend one’s sadness and grief into acceptance and content.

After my undergraduate studies, I moved up to further pursue academic excellence at the post graduate level. I went into law school. I was then one step closer into fulfilling a child’s dream, to be a lawyer. I spent five long years of schooling, and five years thereafter, I graduated and was vested a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Time went super fast. I thought I was set to travel a light year’s journey. With midnight candles burned each and every night, my agonizing labor failed me not upon seeing myself dressed in a Greek graduation dress, marching down the isle of solitude --- this was definitely my day and everything in it was surely mine for the taking.

Graduation day has finally ceased. The fever and excitement of success after hard days of work meant to be incomplete unless unstagnated by superfluous day dreaming and false hopes. Reality has come to chase me down to give me the creeps. Judgment calls has haunted me down for good. And for this moment, there is nothing but cowardly fear. Death has consumed my soul. Darkness has engulfed my very core of courage. I would like to hope that conquering the intricacies of law school was my last stand but I was mistaken. Every lawyer hopeful must take and pass the Bar Examinations. This is the only and only way.

A choice has to be made. A divine decision planted solely within the edifice of the unknown that despite of its uncertainty one has to venture the odds of the unseen. Thus, without bothering to refer my fate into oracles, I decided to move forward in heaven’s name.

With enough focus, determination and my will to win, I prepared not for battle but for the war; a war of having a remembrance of what is to feel like going towards an execution chamber not for incarceration but for intellectual competition. I have six months to prepare for battle --- more than enough for me to train and work the hardest sweat of a lifetime. I did not just study and read a lot of law books but I feed my soul through burning them until they get lifeless. This is who I am.

September, the hell month --- The six month grace period was totally over. War has ultimately come upon me and the belt of pride; ambition and future are at stake. There is nothing left for me to do except to wage war against not to my enemies but to myself. I travelled then to Manila to take the Bar Examinations. This is the moment for me to see the unholy revelation of my destiny playing a reality show entitled “The Elimination of the Unfit.”

I took the Philippine Bar Examination, but failed. It was indeed painful but too human for me to bear. At least I gave my all to pass but unfortunately, it is not just for me, for now...who knows, it will be mine for the taking tomorrow?

I settled to gamble because it’s my only way of getting there. Not unless you stand by your cards and move for an aggressive “all in” in risk, a man will never know his chances of winning. Needless to state, one must be a risk taker to be successful for a man who always dwells on safe decisions will never grow. Thus, it is better to loose in trying than to never having tried at all because for heroes are not born at the end of every victorious battle. They are made upon their enlistment to join the war. Kudos everyone!

TEACHER’S CORNER: Wise Decision Begets a Bright Future

So that, if an individual is not mindful of the efforts of the course of action taken, that may lead him to a miserable situation or worst, will make him an object of charity in the community.”

If you make safe decisions all the time, you will never grow. Not until you learn how to appreciate risk, you will never be successful. Life is a gamble that everyone should bear just like a poker game where you shed and bet your heart out merely on luck and chance but the chances of winning or succeeding can always be calculated by simple statistics.

However, not all decisions entail risk but most of them are. Decision is a crucial matter which every sane human being must be extra vigilant in choosing the action to take. Young adults have to face the consequences of their decision. So that, if an individual is not mindful of the efforts of the course of action taken, that may lead him to a miserable situation or worst, will make him an object of charity in the community. Decisions are not new to high school students. They make many decisions and most of them are done automatically and hastily. So that the stage they are presently in is the consequence of their decisions.

As students grow older, they are forced by the circumstances to make decisions especially when they are about to finish their high school studies. They have to decide whether to pursue college or not, to work or marry. They are in a situation that requires a different approach because it would affect their future. This is a situation where the learning of the students in terms of wise decision-making is needed and the significant person is the teacher. Stated otherwise, the teacher plays an important role in the development of life skills like decision making.

Choosing a career is the greatest challenge that students are facing in their maturing years. It is a challenge that affects their entire life. Aside from the parents, Teachers are always considered influential persons in this aspect. It is therefore expected that the school must have functional career guidance program that would serve as a guide to a wide career choice.

Decision always involves a choice of alternatives. There is no decision when there is only one course of action. Similarly, making a decision is not necessary when one course of action is obviously the least.

Wisdom plays a significant role in these turbulent times. A bewildered career hunter must learn how to discern life’s greatest offerings. After all a risk is always a risk unless tested by courageous beings who want to survive the challenge of being human. The occurrence of inhibitions, reservations and doubts are spices to our own fullness. A brave heart is needs a basis to be brave. A courageous heart needs an anchor to rely his assertions upon which a decision is forged. Blessed are the risk takers for they shall have the fullness of life for the path of suffering is the only way to get there. Bon Voyage...

THE GAYWEATHER VERSUS THE PACROID

Two up selling sports issues that needs to be resolved for the sake of history. With Miguel Cotto recently caught in a Pacquiao whirl wind, nobody stands next in the Pacman’s path except the flamboyant trash talker, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. This is the fight that everyone is longing to see so that, after the sensational Cotto TKO, negotiations are for the Mayweather fight is under way.

Mayweather bragged that he wants to fight Pacquiao on the 13th day of March 2010. He did it in a deliberate fashion to put Pacquiao on a hanging balance knowing his Congressional bid this coming May 2010 Philippine national elections. Confident that Pacquiao won’t take it due to hectic election schedules; he and his camp further pursued various public appearances calling Pacquiao as the “Pacroid” (for  his alleged "steroid" use)  for alleged steroid use. In so doing, out of retaliation, Pacquiao grabbed Mayweather’s challenge outright.

Blown by Pacquiao’s bid of a supposed bluff, Mayweather played his own game of mafia wars. With a sad note, all negotiations failed due to incompatibilities of demands courtesy of Mayweather. He wants a random drug testing which involve specimens from bone marrow, blood and urine before, during and after the fight. All of these are to be based under the Olympics rule; disregarding the governing jurisdiction of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Resilient to his assertion that he is the best, he asserted that nobody should fight him unless they heed to his demands.

Of all the Mayweather fights, this is the first time that he had gone super demanding. However, his implied actions of evasion, precipitated by his baseless steroid use allegation are too elementary to read. Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao, period. His premeditated acts signify an implied language of his fear of the unknown. He does not want to take the risk of fighting the Pacman for in so doing, his inevitable eternal end would be at hand.

To alleviate the steroid issue, Pacquiao gave a gift of drug testing but only limited to twelve days before the scheduled fight and right thereafter. However, Mayweather’s valiant heart stayed hard as diamond. For this reason, negotiations failed without Floyd offering an apology. Thus, the libel suit pushed through. Instantly Joshua Clottey came in as a tasty substitute.

Pacquiao has proven that he is clean. Recent dug tests show the absence of any illegal drug intake whether in urine, bone marrow or blood. So much for the Mayweather propaganda. At least, Pazquiao has proven Mayweather wrong. In return, Mayweather has proven something---- he proved that he is a scaredy cat doing an implied chicken dance all through out. Thus, the slang name “Gayweather” as other critics say, suits his perfect person and the only thing that he can disprove such fact is to fight the Pacman like a pound for pound king should be.

Envious of Pacquiao’s achievements,. Floyd is certainly tired of living beneath under the Pacman’s shadow. Just like Pippen under Jordan or Robin under Batman. Simply stated, the only way that he can prove his greatness is to fight Pacquiao rather than living is a hopeless miniature of choosing novice opponents and staying in undefeated without having to put the slightest risk. Floyd is “self proclaimed pound for pound king” without a kingdom nor loyal subjects, nor armies to build upon.

He is just bluffing, playing his greatness amid obvious fear of getting erased in history. Lest, whether he fights the Pacman or not, the world cannot deny the clear prestige of Pacquiao being labeled as the greatest fighter in the world.

“BOILER ROOM” The Untold Story Behind My Call Center Experience

Over the past decade, the call center business blossomed like ice selling pancakes in a spring cookie jar. All of a sudden, a massive production of call center agents sprouted like tulips in the middle of strong winter. Personal trainings for such business are added in various school curriculums to meet the demands of production. In loved with the proposition and the guarantee of employment, I parked myself in to get myself counted.

It eventually gave me the enlightenment of learning the language itself by making me aware of my heinous grammatical mistakes. Why are we addressed at California? This is where my doubts began as to whether my job is legitimate or a scam.

In order for us to have inbound calls, advertisements through postings and blogs are done at Craigslist.com consisting of real estate information of houses for rent and rent to own. The many postings we do, the more calls we have and the more money we will get. In doubt, I verified the posted information on Craig’s List and discovered that the advertisement was a fake --- everything is only a product of pure imagination and misused talent. The postings on Craig’s list were designed as a marketing strategy to trap opportunistic customers who want to have a home the easiest way. Thus, the postings made have no legal basis.

As I dug deeper by doing the Craig’s list postings myself, the more doubt engulfed. We were thought and required to change and reroute our IP addresses every three postings. In a startling occurrence, I automatically concluded that the IP rerouting was purposely devised for stealth mode purposes, deliberately suppressing any trace of our alleged legitimate transactions. It is a settled fact that IP addresses are intended for identification but why the habitual IP rerouting?

Now I am sure that I am working on a pure scam business. For sure I do not want this.

Scammers we are and scammers we shall be but not for me. The ridicule of my work situation is so intense for me to ignore and very much conscience boggling for me to play dumb with. I have to make a difference --- a holy rebellion for truth, honesty, integrity and good faith. For this reason, I told my fellow agents about what I have seen and the probability of FBI intervention but they did not listen. They continued until now leaving me a stamp as the antagonist.

I went on with my life and considered myself retired for the business. I cannot afford to earn dirty money at the expense of deceiving others. I chose not to continue making people believe our unholy cause. Much more, I cannot afford to feed my family out of it. It is just too unholy for me to do and to unrighteous for me to ask. It is not just me.

On this premise, let this literature serve as a warning to all and a testimony to those who have been victims. The very reason why call center scams are confident in this game is because American law plays no application in our place. By principle of international law, sovereign states have no jurisdiction over the other thus giving immunity to scammers who are making American innocent as preys. In addition, no American victim would file a case in a foreign country for a money claim of $ 49. It’s just simply a waste of time and air fair for a useless cause.

Be wise. Choose to be vigilant. Better neglect an opportunity rather than suffer the consequence of deception.

Holy War? Is their such thing as a holy war? Yes there is. That is jihad. Muslim extremists who have engaged in terrorism dwell the furtherance cause to Jihad which in turn made the killing justified under it. Does this make sense? Of course not.

There are two kinds of Jihad. The first one is defined as “war from within”. For this reason, man has to proclaim war against his wrong doings in an effort for redirection and change. Lay man’s term disclose that this type of jihad is more of a self rehabilitation for purposes of change.

To shed light on the matter, Here’s a concrete example. if you are a smoker, then your jihad is how to stop smoking. Thus, you have your own war to settle and that is to defeat the vice of smoking.

The second one is when a Muslim, without interposing any justifiable grounds, is prohibited the free exercise of Islam. In so doing, an offended Islam religious is justified to declare “jihad” to pursue the free exercise of his religion.

Jihad is in itself bloodless but with exceptions. However, Muslim extremists tend to divert its holy interpretation to make their acts of terrorism justified. They tend to make it appear that the acts of westerners manifests a direct blasphemy of Islam thus, justified for Jihad. And, to at the expense of the life of innocents, they say that they are fighting for the cause of God and religion. Henceforth, if they kill for Allah, their deeds are justified in his name.

Suicide bombers and terrorists suffer the wrong notion of Allah’s purest intention and purpose. Allah is the most merciful in the first place. However, it is sad to note that some subject Jihad to their own unlimited abuse to make themselves holy. Just by mere proclamation that I am fighting for the cause of Islam, freedom to kill will be automatically limitless and, the catch is, you are just to believe that you are fighting for Islam’s cause.

Jihad is “holy war” but its interpretation should not be interpreted in its literal sense. Putting in application the interpretation of jihad would negate the extremist’s claim of a valid “holy war”. First, the conflict involved is not from “within” but from “without” so as it is safe to say that their cause is not a war against one’s self. Second, assuming for the sake of argument that it is an external war, still it belies their reasoning for the reason that there has been no prohibition to their free exercise of Islam. Hence, all the bombings, suicide bombings, and all sorts of anti-social acts is not worthy to be associated nor attributed to the holy name of Islam.

“Jihad” therefore should be understood under Allah’s guiding grace and wisdom. Be it noted that all that God wants is to share the beauty of life through his peace and mercy negating “killing” of human life as the supreme prohibition. All raises believe in the same supernatural being. The only difference is we call him different names. But, the common thing is, religion is made as a guiding rod to steer ourselves to peace because Islam means “peace”. Asalamo alaikum…

A father’s outcry has come to pour down his pain of loosing. With me, as his drinking spree partner, he lamented his sorrows amid severe melancholic sadness. Kristin, his one and only seventeen-year-old daughter, who is at the same time my godchild, was robbed, raped and murdered. Worse, justice seemed illusive in their reach. Not to tell, zero witnesses coupled with weak forensics add up the pile of frustrating flavor. In our place, there is no way that the evidence can speak. CSIs are everywhere but the obsoleteness of their schooling hinders the efficiency of their craft.

Bottle after bottle, his frustration poured on but no matter how hard he cries, there is no way that he could bring his daughter back. He sad: “Children are supposed to be the ones to burry their parents. Not the other way around.” He’s questioning the defiance of a supposed fixed chronological order of life. Simply put, the old die ahead of the young. Sour grapping is common for he is still in denial. The instinct of a father wishing that he could take his daughter’s shoes is purely evident but crying over spilled milk is useless. Acceptance may be far ahead but it is certain.

Everybody dies and it is my duty as their child to do it as a form of last respect. But to see my child die ahead of me defied the norms of life and nature. It is of no doubt that James Cameron’s masterpiece has toppled the box office charts once again. It is as massive as his Titanic masterpiece that eventually proved its worth. Like its futuristic fantasy equivalent, Avatar is absolutely “off the hook”. A work of a

Figuratively speaking, beauty beyond the senses is the word; reading between the lines is the game; and, understanding the message of the concealed is our divine solitude. Crazy? Read on dude….

The movie for itself depicts the true strategy of colonialism as applied by well known conquerors. Let me show you how the they do it.

(1) Make the savages your friend – Certainly, the best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him a friend. Truly, the best way to penetrate the unknown is for you to be known in another form. And that is, your game face form.

(2) Teach them English – Educate. Rather than traditionally taking arms, teach them communication skills instead. Through communication, you can certainly wield your magic to it. Certainly, language is power and English is his beloved haven.

(3) Win their hearts, earn their trust – After pretending that you care through educating and civilizing the presumed uncivilized savages, trust and confidence is now won. With this arsenal, manipulation comes even harder at the expense of a weak emotional being blinded by the affection of a loveless intimacy.

(4) Execute the mission; unleash the true form – earning the TRUST of someone is the crucial part. However, once you have earned it, it is the key to control a person by even putting into application the slightest elementary manipulation. This is where the unleashing of the true form happens. Defenseless as they are helpless you are now free to exploit their resources and bounty to the satisfaction of your egoistic interests.

(5) Dump them after use – after completing everything to your satisfaction, dump them after use. Treat them as dirt.

To correlate the spice with reality, here’s my historical basis.

Going back through history, the same technique was applied in the Iraq siege. U.S. troops were deployed under the two Bush administrations. The propaganda was to liberate Iraq and forge a new democratic government. The intention was there and the affection was overwhelming. However, the hidden greed is the thirst for oil. To do it, the Bush regime literally put itself in stealth to deliberately violate Iraqi sovereignty by interfering an obvious municipal conflict. Needless to state, the Iraqi people were extremely glorified by the American heroism completely unaware of the massive truth hidden behind their angelic faces.

AVATAR shows us a complete description of deception forged by selfishness and greed. Most people are fascinated by the graphics, computer effects, story line and cinematography. These people are just dwelling in the shallows of the water. They failed to appreciate the hidden hieroglyphics behind the masterpiece.

For the land of the free and the home of the braves…this was the legacy that Uncle Sam had instilled as it granted Juan dela Cruz’s freedom. An agreement fashioned under the glitters of a holy covenant that freedom will be granted if the Philippines is ready and committed to build a just and humane government. Stamped under American influence, our colonizers acceded to the proposition. And, as a result, gave the freedom that we deserve. Hence, we adapted American governance on the hope of forging a new civilized nation under a free and independent government; a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

With the new dawn of leadership at hand, the battle cry of our immortal heroes was finally put to rest. After centuries of assertion, freedom from implied bondage has finally come. Finally, the land of our forefathers is now the motherland of the free and the hope of the hopeless – for now, and for this moment, we are America’s protégée. Since the day the Americans settled for a graceful exit, a new light has beaconed which lifted an empty land into the ranks of melodious states and prosperous nations. From then on and onwards, our Philippines transcended as a promising nation conceived with the liberty of a promising future.

Suddenly, corrupted by greed and egoistic desires, our Philippines, has now been downgraded as a sour grapping government, living in a hopeless miniature. As the news busted out in public that the Philippines ranks second amongst MOST corrupt nations in Asia, many got hysterical. Well, instead of feeling humiliated, we should rise in exaltation for this rare distinction comes never in a lifetime. Thus, to shield off the ridicule, the Gloria administration insisted on charter change to ironically, set our contaminated nation in redemption. In reality, “chacha” is not the answer for even if we put in execution the Government of the Christ and mount our nation as the land of the New Jerusalem, nothing will change. Suffice it to say, no matter how ideal a government is, if those governing are infested with termite - like instincts, a strongly built edifice will surely and always fall. What should be resolved is the attitude of greed for power and money; the very essence which every royaled warthog wish to possess for eternity.

Worse, dominated by stupid electorates who crave for popularity rather than capacity, our motherland continues to loom near a definite downfall. Headed under the leadership of an incapacitated tyrant who feeds on the bounty of his office and beyond, doom is definitely coming. For, once more, a reincarnation of a familiar monster has risen to harness the same dread that the past has died for. What a pitiful weak. We tend to envy the recently concluded U.S. elections and were astonished in the Obama fever. Truly, what we envy the most is the sanctity of their democratic solace. For, for the first time, no protests were filed nor moans of fraud heard; it was sacred through out. Truly, it was not democracy but love of country that pave the peace all through out. The reason is that, Americans love America; but we, do not. Truly, if we would have chosen to stay under the rule of American suzerain, we would have enjoyed the same pride of a common race, of a common people living in a true free world. This is the true freedom.

“Blessed are the Crocodiles camouflaged in honorable prestige who steal under the shiny noon light, for theirs is the money of the people.” This is the paramount of all great beatitudes crafted by the dark lord himself intended for those who advocate the consecration of our country’s dehydration. Never have we seen the corrupt jailed nor have we seen the dishonest crucified. What is commonly and frequently seen are those criminals who get jailed for shoplifting a can of sardines, or caught stealing a bunch of coconuts to save his person from dying in hunger. Is this the price we bear for not being in power? Sadly to state, Patriotism has ceased to serenade the melody of our national theme. The tune “ang mamatay nang dahil sa ‘yo” is nothing but a mere defunct artwork, buried in oblivion, fashioned in a futile but iconic masterpiece which is reflective of the otherwise. The question is: Why do we steal from our own country? The answer is simple but we are just too dumb to grasp the conscience.
It seems that the pearl of the orient has ceased to weave its magic. It now roams as a misplaced pseudonym which suggests an ironic salutation. If only time can turn back its hand, it would have been better if we choose not to assert freedom. Better be an American colony and reap a well-loved government which can reciprocate the taxes we pay. Better be the fifty-first state and enjoy the grace of a proud nation than to be an independent State suffering the consequence of immature governance. It would have been better if we remain Americans and enjoy the best life possible than living in a hallucinated free nation ruled by gluttonous leaders whose devotion is to devour our sacred sweats. Truly, it is our own assertion of FREEDOM that has killed us and put the blood of our gallant heroes to shame. Hence, let this be the rule, if we had become prisoners of our own freedom, then let bondage be our pathway as freemen for there is freedom beyond the senses of bondage. The freedom enjoyed in solitary confinements. The freedom enjoyed amid closed cells and fortified asylums. The freedom reaped amidst colonialism.
